5 THINGS TO TRY OUT THIS MONTH

Do you feel planning out your months and setting goals in advance can help you have a more productive and less stressful month? If you think no, then hear me out. I used to just live out my months with no plan in place and with a hope that the best things will happen to me naturally. This was such an unrealistic expectation.

However, this lockdown has allowed me to introspect and start doing things that i never thought I would do. One of those things is planning every month and trying new things to see what is working the best for me.


Today I have come up with 5 things to try this month. This is my list and I am happy to share this with you all.


So... Let's begin !!




1- Make Meditation a habit



Who wouldn’t want to escape the stress of daily life and feel relaxed? Imagine how great you will feel if you can remain calm in most negative situations. Meditation helps you feel extremely focused especially when all of the worlds around us are unstable. It develops self-awareness. It is one such practice that can positively enhance your life.


Start with just 5 mins. a day and create your way through it. All you need is a quiet place and 5 mins. I have been practicing meditation for quite some time now and it is one thing which has improved my life for better.


2- Do less but better


Many of us believe in multitasking to achieve results faster and feel extremely drained at the end of the day. Being selective and doing less is a better way to be productive. Make a list of all the tasks you need to do in a day and pick the ones that are vital and most urgent. This way you will simplify your life and accomplish more. You still have days ahead to do the pending tasks. So it's ok to not get everything done in a single day.


3- Declutter

Decluttering is a popular term known to all of us. But do we follow it in our lives regularly? If not try it this month. This is one of the tasks that I am going to try out this month. Not only it makes your home looks neater but also provides mental clarity. I notice my room becoming cluttered so easily and, to be honest, we don't always have time to clean the mess we make. Instead of waiting for months to do a huge declutter, it is better to do some of it on an everyday basis. It is so refreshing to see a clean and clutter-free house. It can instantly enhance your mood and keep you motivated.


4- Smile Often


We all give fake smiles every now and then but what is important is a genuine smile. Smiling often can help you live longer, helps reduce stress, and make you more successful. An average adult smiles 20 times a day and a happy person smiles 45 times a day.

Make a promise to yourself to smile more this month as it is contagious and good for people around you. It will bring joy to your life.


5- Educate Yourself


"Educating yourself doesn't mean that you were stupid in the first place; it means that you are intelligent enough to know that there is plenty left to learn." - MELANIE JOY


Learning is continuous and your digital devices can be the ultimate tool for self-education. The internet is full of online courses, internships, etc. Gaining knowledge of something new is just a click away in today's era. Self-education can help you channel your energy in the right direction. As you develop new skills, you grow personally and get a more profound understanding of different situations in your life. Challenge yourself to learn about something new this month, be it through any medium and you will notice you become a more mature person as you progress.
